I love asparagus, who doesn’t right? It is easy to cook, tasty with this delightful crunch (if you don’t overcook it, which you really shouldn’t), and versatile.

I served this with Ayam Masak Kicap Pedas. Both dishes are easy, and quite tasty, if I may say so myself heh heh…

My husband likes asparagus with his steak, and served with mashed potatoes on the side. Hmmm hmmm nice.

Asparagus

Asparagus and squid stir fry

Ingredients

  • 300 g squid, cleaned
  • One bunch asparagus, cut to 2 inch
  • 2 red chillies, sliced
  • 4 garlic, crushed
  • 2 TB oyster sauce
  • Salt and white pepper
  • 2 TB oil

Method

  1. Heat oil, saute chillies and garlic till fragrant. Then add asparagus and squid at the same time.
  2. Turn the heat on high, continue to stir until the squids are cooked, just about 2 minutes. Then add in the oyster sauce, salt and pepper.
  3. Stir to mix, then take off heat.
