4:37 pm Disastrous attempts, Food gone bad
This was my first attempt at baking a carrot cake. Yes, I know it would be hard to mess up this glorious cake, but mess it I did.
Actually, I did not mess up the cake. What I messed up was the cream cheese icing. We were out of icing sugar, but I do have some finely home ground sugar. Me being a noob and all had decided to use that sugar.
And what do I get? An icing that wouldn’t get creamy, that’s what.

At this point, I was getting so frustrated, at myself, that. I had wasted some good cream cheese because I couldn’t be bothered to go to the store to get some more icing sugar.
I had wasted it all, and it had to go down the bin because the icing was too sweet and inedible.
The cake was delicious, so I know I would definitely be making the cake, but I would omit the cream cheese icing altogether.
Or find another recipe that would better complement the cake, right?
