4:42 am Appetizer, Craves, Dough, Just out from the oven, Spiced it up
Last couple of months the husband had been pestering me about eating over at that pizza chain restaurant. I was not keen, but it is not like he wanted to eat pizza every month, right? Not even like every other month. So he ordered some pizza and pastas for takeouts.
I know why I was not keen. The pizza was so bad, I cringe. There was nothing to rave about their pastas, either, which is rather sad. Their garlic bread was not bad, but hey this is supposed to be a pizza joint.
I made this pizza in 2006, during summer if I am not mistaken. Baking during summer, I hear you say. Well, English summer is so unlike Indian summers over in the States. So some summer days, the weather could be nice enough to crank up the oven. So there.
Anyway, this pizza had this curried chicken toppings with vegetables like onion, pineapples and tomatoes, just like how my mom used to make.
Which brings me to my point. I am craving for this homemade pizza for like ages. This is almost like how my mom made it like couple of decades ago. I don’t think she made much pizzas in the last 10 years, though. Since coming home, we had not find ideal enough time to make this, mainly because my husband and hers don’t really like this. So it means that we could bake it after feeding them something else. Or we could bake this when neither one of them is around.
Well, we need some planning if we were to eat this. Since most of the times my mom and her husband would visit on a last minutes notice, I don’t see when this homemade pizza idea would materialize.
We’ll have to wait, I guess.
