Another dish that I made for Pumpkin. This one is so easy, and so yummy, too.

I made a lot of these because I knew that me and the husband would like to snack on these, but with a salad, this could be filling, too.

Another way that I served this was with bread. As a sandwich. Yes. Filling.

CHEESY CHICKEN GOUJONS

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg chicken breast, cut into fingers
  • 1 cup breadcrumb
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1/3 cup grated hard cheese, any kind
  • 1 TB white pepper powder
  • 2 TB cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten up
  • Enough oil for deep frying
breadcrumb with cheese

Method

  1. Put the grated cheese, breadcrumb, white pepper powder and 1/2 tsp salt in one bowl. Mix it up well.
  2. Then in another container, put the plain flour, cracked black pepper and 1/2 tsp salt. Again, mix it up well.
  3. Dredge the chicken fingers inside the plain flour mix, then dip it inside the eggs.
  4. Coat it with the breadcrumb mix.
  5. Fry in a moderately hot oil until the chicken turned golden brown.
  6. Drain, and ready to be served.
  7. This is also good in caesar salad.
