This very easy treat is usually eaten dipped in chilli sauce. Usually, this is served for breakfast or tea, mainly because it would not take that long to prepare!

I don’t make this fritters much since the husband don’t really fancy it, and Pumpkin would surely picked out the corn in it heh…

EASY PRAWN FRITTERS

Ingredients

  • A cup of peeled prawns
  • 1 cups corn kernels
  • 2 1/2 cups plain flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Water
  • Enough oil for deep frying
corn kernels
Method

  1. Beat the eggs lightly, then add that to the bowl of plain flour. Add salt and enough water (about 1 1/2 cups) to mix the flour mixture through.
  2. The batter shouldn’t be too thick, but it should be loose enough. Add the prawns and corn kernels to the batter.

  • Mix it well. To test the consistencies of the batter, it should be thick enough to coat the prawn and corn kernel, but thin enough to be able to be spooned out to fry.
  • Heat the oil, fry the batter by the spoonful. Turn it over when it turned golden, just about a couple of minutes, then take off heat.
  • Ready to be served.
